    President & CEO, Board Member

    As president & CEO, Larry Zulch directs company strategy and execution into the network and security markets. Before joining Savvius, Larry was chief strategy and development officer at SQLstream, a big data streaming analytics software company. Larry has also served as president and CEO of Photometics, Inc., executive chairman and interim CEO of PLC Diagnostics, and vice president and officer at EMC Corporation. Prior to EMC, Larry co-founded Dantz Development Corporation, makers of data protection software, and served as its chief executive officer until Dantz was acquired by EMC. Larry has served on the board of directors of several companies, including FreeRange Communications, PLC Diagnostics, Cloud Engines, NeoLogic, and LESCO.

    Larry received a BA in Economics from the University of California, Davis.

    Executive Chairman of the Board

    Tim McCreery co-founded Savvius, Inc. as AG Group with Mahboud Zabetian in 1990. He has served in a variety of executive roles within the company and overseen its transition to WildPackets in 2000 and then Savvius in 2015. Tim’s 30 years of experience in the networking industry includes founder and president of Kinetics, a leading Macintosh networking company; founder and CEO of SilkStream, makers of network monitoring software; and VP of Marketing and Business Development at Excelan, a network equipment manufacturer. Tim has served on the boards of Clear Ink and Tut Systems and is currently on the board of Youth Homes, a non-profit agency serving at-risk foster care children in Contra Costa County, California.

    Tim graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science, Mathematics, and Psychology, and a Master’s degree in EECS.

  • Brian Ferguson
    Brian Ferguson

    Brian oversees the company’s administrative organization, including finance, accounting, tax, and treasury. With over 20 years in financial and operational leadership roles for technology and construction firms, Brian facilitates ongoing operations while maintaining all appropriate controls and processes. Prior to Savvius, Brian held various senior finance positions with Geo. M Robinson & Co. and at Hood & Strong, a CPA firm, performing audit and tax engagements for technology and construction clients.

    Brian, a CPA, received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from St. Mary’s College of California.

  • Jay Botelho
    Jay Botelho

    Jay leads a team of dedicated engineering, quality assurance, and product management staff to define, design, and release products that deliver on Savvius’ strategy in the network and security markets. A frequent speaker at industry events on trends and challenges in wireless networking, Jay’s expertise extends to all aspects of network analytics. Prior to Savvius, Jay was Director of Product Management for Devicescape, a wireless software start-up, and held product management roles at Oracle and Sun Microsystems and engineering roles at GRiD Systems and Lockheed Missiles and Space Company.

    Jay holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Tufts University and a Master of Science in electrical engineering from Santa Clara University.

  • Patrick Johnston
    Patrick Johnston

    In his role as Vice President, Worldwide Sales for Savvius, Patrick leads teams in the US, EMEA, and APAC to grow sales through new customer relationships, expanded channel opportunities, and deeper strategic partnerships. Patrick has experience establishing sales and distribution networks for various high tech companies in North and South America, Asia, and Europe. Most recently Director of Channel Sales for Extreme Networks, Patrick’s 25 years of experience in network sales includes working with successful companies such as Brocade Communications, Boole & Babbage, and Interlink Computer Sciences during their startup phases. He was the founding CEO of DockOn Inc., an advanced RF technology and design company.

    Patrick graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a degree in Management Information Systems.

  • Julie Criscenti Heck
    Julie Criscenti Heck

    Julie Criscenti Heck heads all marketing efforts at Savvius and is responsible for messaging, strategy, and execution of all programs conveying the company’s value both as a leader in networking performance products and as an emerging force in the security market. Her analytical approach is focused on improving sales productivity, strengthening the partner ecosystem, and enabling a strong customer lifecycle. Julie has experience leading customer and partner marketing efforts at both large and small companies, including EMC, VMware, Nexsan, and Extreme Networks. She has been called one of the Top Women Leaders in the Channel multiple times by the Channel Company and has won awards for her partner programs.

    Julie earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from San Francisco State University, and continued post graduate studies in International Business at Franklin University in Lugano, Switzerland.

  • Ron Lloyd
    Ron Lloyd

    As Vice President of Operations, Ron is responsible for all aspects of Savvius operations, technical support, and staffing. Ron has over 25 years of experience in operations within companies ranging from early-stage startups to Fortune 150 companies. His expertise includes product development, material sourcing and procurement, manufacturing, and quality system management. Before joining Savvius, Ron held key roles at QuickMountPV, Fat Spaniel Technologies, and Tesla Motors. Earlier, Ron spent 14 years at Sun Microsystems and seven years at Hewlett Packard in a variety of management roles. Ron serves on the Alumni Board of Governors of Harvey Mudd College and served as president and board member of Grid Alternatives.

    Ron holds a BSE from Harvey Mudd College, and an MS in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Stanford with a specialty in alternative energy and sustainability.

    Human Resources

    Gina heads up People and Culture at Savvius and is responsible for championing the firms exponential growth of people initiatives, process, culture, business planning, and system implementation.  Gina has successfully lead people innovation and driven cultural changes for both large and small companies including; Wells Fargo, Fuze, and Chase Digital. She has been referred to as the “wizard” at her craft, with a never ending passion for moving mountains.

    Gina holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Adelphi University, Masters work in Organizational Development and Change Management from the New School for Social Research, and is currently a graduate student at the Academy of Intuitive Medicine.

  • Nadeem Zahid
    Nadeem Zahid

    Nadeem Zahid leads the strategy, technology alliances and business development at Savvius and is instrumental in influencing company and product vision and direction, developing and maintaining technology/solution eco-system partnerships and developing new market routes and use cases for the growth. Nadeem has over 21 years of leadership experience in the networking industry with leading technology companies including Cisco, Juniper, Brocade, and Extreme Networks. He also ran his own IT consulting/ISV company, tFinery, for strategy consulting to fortune 500 IT clients.

    Nadeem holds a master’s degree in Technology Management from Boston University, a bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from N.E.D. University, Pakistan, a Project Management certificate from MIT, and Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certificate from Cisco. Nadeem has also published a book on Product Management.

    Mark Bauhaus is a 30 year technology industry executive and sustainability innovator. He is a general partner at Just Business (www.justbusiness.is), which incubates startups at the intersection of Purpose and Profit. From 2007-2013 Mr. Bauhaus was a Juniper Networks’ Executive Vice President and General Manager growing its Layer 4-7 and Security business group to over $1 billion revenue and later EVP/GM for its Services business and global Supply Chain. Previously, he served 20 years at Sun Microsystems rising to Senior Vice President of Service-Oriented Architecture Software, enterprise software, identity management and Java Web Services product groups. Mr. Bauhaus holds a bachelor of science degree in business management and environmental systems analysis with high honors from the University of California at Davis.

    Matthew Weil is as an Investor~Manager~Advisor for Christopher Weil & Company, Inc. and General Counsel for CWC’s affiliate CWC Asset Advisors, Inc. Before joining CWC, Mr. Weil was an attorney litigating intellectual property matters, principally patents, most recently as a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP. He currently serves as a board member or board observer for a number of CWC-affiliated portfolio companies, including Niveus Medical, Inc., iGenomX International Genomics Corporation, and Photometics, Inc. He formerly served on the board of Vessix Vascular, Inc. Mr. Weil is a past President of the Orange County Patent Law Association and a current Director of the Preuss School UCSD and the Patricia & Christopher Weil Family Foundation. He is a member of the Advisory Counsel of the San Diego Youth Symphony and Conservatory. Mr. Weil has a BA in History and Russian Language from the University of California, Davis, a Masters in Political Science from Columbia University, and a J.D. from University of California, Berkeley, School of Law.

    Mr. Zabetian served as President and CEO of Savvius for 10 Years before taking the role of Chairman. Prior to founding Savvius, Inc., Mr. Zabetian held several different technical roles at Princeton University, Kinetics, Excelan, and Novell where he developed a number of network management, performance, and productivity tools including the EtherPeek program. He was also Founder and Chairman of Timestamp.com. Mr. Zabetian came to the U.S. from Iran and received his EECS degree from Princeton University with a special interest in computer networking.
