We’re excited to share that Savvius Vigil has just received a special Best of Show Jury Award from the judges at this year’s Interop Tokyo trade show, held at the Makuhari Messe in Japan from June 8 – 10. Savvius Vigil and our partner in Japan, DIT, were given the award in the Network Management and Monitoring category, one of 13 categories at the show, beating out almost 300 other vendors for the honor.

The three-day event, now in its 23rd year, attracted more than 140,000 visitors from every segment of the ICT space, focusing on SDI/NFV, network security, IoT, cloud & data center operations and a variety of the latest mobility & wireless technologies. Interop Tokyo’s 14-member panel of experts, headed this year by Professor Osamu Nakamura from Japan’s prestigious Keio University, was tasked with finding the best and most promising technologies from more than 500 participating companies.

In addition to this award, Savvius Vigil has won two other industry accolades this year alone, for ‘most innovative security product of 2016’ and for ‘best security hardware’ in its space. Savvius Vigil is the first security appliance to provide network forensics for security investigations of a breach that occurred moments, weeks, even months before the intrusion was detected. Rather than relying on fallible log files, Vigil’s use of network packets enables faster troubleshooting and mitigation while greatly reducing overall recovery times. Vigil works by capturing traffic between related nodes for five minutes before and after a triggered event, allowing the appliance to store critical network data that is typically missed by competing solutions.

We would like to extend our thanks and congratulations to our partners at DIT for the success they have achieved in promoting Vigil and our entire range of network solutions to enterprise customers in Japan.
